BNI operates on the givers gain philosophy; those who give business freely to others will benefit, and in return, will get business as well. BNI is the largest networking organization of its kind. Currently, BNI has over 5,300 chapters in operation in the United States and forty-one other countries. Members of BNI have passed over 5,600,000 referrals which have generated over $2.3 billion dollars of new business for its members last year alone. BNI established its first chapter in Houston in January 1993 and currently has over 38 dynamic and active chapters in the area.
